Bertrand Gacon started his career in the investment banking arm of BNP Paribas in 1997 in Singapore, before joining the firm’s wealth management business in Paris in 2001. In 2006 he created the Responsible Investments and Philanthropy offering of the French bank. Acting as the Global Head of this team, Mr. Gacon put in place a complete range of SRI and Impact Investing solutions for the bank’s key clients. He also contributed to defining and setting up philanthropic services, providing support and advice to clients at every step of their philanthropic journey. Mr. Gacon was also put in charge of the organisation of BNP Paribas’ International Awards for Individual Philanthropy and managed the “Philanthropist Circle”, a networking platform allowing top donors to share their best practices and charitable programs.

In 2011 Mr. Gacon joined Lombard Odier as head the SRI and Impact Investing offering. He is also President of Sustainable Finance Geneva, a non-profit organisation active in the promotion of responsible finance. Mr. Gacon is also the founder and president of Association Tizayuca, an NGO working with underprivileged kids in Mexico. Mr. Gacon has received a master’s degree in International Finance from Skema Business School (France), and spent his final year with the ‘Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey’ in Mexico.
