Ecological summer camp in Belarus teaches students about the environment

From August 9th to 30th, Green Cross Belarus hosted an international ecological camp that brought together children and adolescents from environmentally unfavorable areas and low-income households across Belarus, Ukraine and Russia. This year's ecological camp welcomed children between the ages of 13 and 18 with different backgrounds, interests and ecological concerns.

The aim of the ecological camp was to educate children on environmental issues and health protection in the region and promote the exchange of ideas and experience between youth from different countries. To support the scope of the curriculum, international representatives and teachers joined in the teaching of ecological material, training and counseling activities. The students were asked to make presentations on various projects and cultural activities that took place at the camp and also in their respective country of Ukraine, Russia or Belarus.
