Green Cross contributes chapter to Earthrise

Green Cross International has contributed a chapter to Earthrise: The Dawning of a New Civilization in the 21st Century. The book is a compilation of articles by various environmental organisations and research institutes each highlighting their activities and mandate, including institutions such as the Earth Charter Initiative, Peres Center for Peace, Earth Policy Institute, Gaia Trust, World Wisdom Council and other research institutions.

Mr. Likhotal’s article in Earthrise outlines the goals, mission and strategy of Green Cross International and discusses the core values of the Green Cross mandate. Mr. Likhotal also discusses in more detail the role and importance of Green Cross programmes within the context of global poverty, security and the environment. In the compilation of various perspectives on the environment, Green Cross International discusses the significance of preventing conflict through natural resource reconciliation, addressing the environmental consequences of conflicts and promoting values and behavior change.
