Joint GCI Board/Council Meeting, March 2008

The GCI Council Meeting was held in Moscow on March 5 and 6th, bringing together Mikhail Gorbachev, Founding President and Member of the Board, Jan Kulczyk, Chairman of the Board, and Alexander Likhotal, President and CEO, along with GCI Council members and observers.

The participants reviewed the GCI governance in the context of the organisation's growth and development.
It was decided to enlarge the Board of Directors to comprise representatives of GC Japan, GC Russia, GC Switzerland and GG USA and to set up the process of GCI governance update, better tailored to GCI's mission, strategy, organizational structures and new international challenges.
The decision reflects the growing role of National organisations and will help to raise the efficiency of GCI programmatic activities as well as to consolidate its agenda.
