Governance and finance for sustainable development will be at the forefront of the 7th European Conference on Sustainable Cities & Towns, which will take place in the City of Geneva, a global leader in international finance and trade, and international diplomacy and cooperation.
The Conference is being organized by the City of Geneva, ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainable Development, and the European Sustainable Cities & Towns (ESCT) Conference Preparatory Committee.
Building upon the conclusions of the previous European Conference on Sustainable Cities & Towns in Dunkerque 2010 and the outcomes of the Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable
Development, Geneva 2013 will seek to bridge the gaps between environmental, economic and social goals and connect governments, civil society and business through policy and action.
