The 7th edition of the Earth Dialogues, titled Pathways into the Future – Triggers of Change, will be held at the United Nations Office at Geneva, Switzerland, on 3 September, 2013.

This 2013 edition comes at a time of deep crisis, and will attract over 30 leading figures of international politics, science, business and civil society, including Mikhail Gorbachev, Roza Otunbayeva, Julia Marton-Lefèvre, Ruud Lubbers, Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker and Corinne Lepage, in the search for solutions to resolve the most pressing and interconnected challenges of insecurity, poverty and environmental degradation

This conference will demonstrate how multilateralism can – and must – be recalibrated to meet these challenges, and provide a launching pad for initiatives to bolster effective coordinated action

Geneva, with its vast record and experience in effective multilateral action, provides a perfect platform.
