International Conference for a Green and Inclusive Economy, 6-7 October 2015

Under the high patronage and in the presence of Mikhail Gorbachev, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and founder of Green Cross International, opinion leaders and world experts will come together in Geneva to give their visions and send a strong message to the Paris Climate Conference in December.

Entry to the event is free, but registration is required.

You can also view the full conference agenda here.

Alongside the Conference:

    • Throughout the event – Exhibit panels from the Green Cross Expo will be displayed in the CICG, and also along the lake (Quai Wilson) where the 2015 edition remains on display. This gallery will be going to Paris in December.

    • Evening of 6 October – (18h-20h) Screening of the film “The Pursuit of Endurance”, followed by a panel discussion with the film’s producer, Luc Hardy, UNIGE’s Martin Beniston, CNRS and EDYTEM’s Luc Moreau, and Green Cross’ Adam Koniuszewski. Join the special screening by registering here!

    • Evening of 6 October – At sundown, the Jet d’eau will be lit up in green in recognition of this event. An ideal view can be had from the Quai Wilson.

  • 6 and 7 October – Partner organisations and institutions will exhibit in the entrance to the CICG showcasing circular economy innovations and projects. Tesla will display an electric car – with staff on hand to offer test drives – and TPG (Geneva’s transit authority) will show one of its new eco-friendly buses.

Don’t forget to use #GreenAndInclusive to talk about the conference! The event will be webcast and live-tweeted, so comments and #GreenAndInclusive questions will be welcome – both from those inside the room and those watching from home!

Geneva, city of peace and human rights, is home to the European headquarters of the United Nations, numerous international organisations and hundreds of non-governmental organizations.

Our capacity to reinvent the industrial era economic model with its linear take, make and dispose patterns of consumption with a zero-waste circular economy will bring about opportunities through innovation and the deployment of sustainable solutions to lay the foundation for the prosperous and equitable future we want.

Be part of this process by joining us for this discussion here, in Geneva.
