Green Cross was also the official partner of the 2015 Naturellia “Salon des produits bio et naturels”. This long-running bio-foods fair’s 11th edition was, for the first time, expand to include other types of natural products, medicines and sustainable initiatives. Nearly 3,500 people came to the event.
The family-friendly programme at the Rochexpo Centre in La Roche Sur Foron, France (just south of Geneva) included special guest speakers, various themed market stands, cooking classes and a book fair. Topics relating to sustainable food, environmentally-sound gardening and the natural world were front-and-centre for the whole weekend.
The Green Cross stand at Naturellia featured panels from the lakeside exhibition “The Future We Want”, bringing home the message that, all over the world, solutions abound – there to be implemented by the public and private sectors, civil society, and ordinary people who choose to take action.
On Sunday, 6 December, Luc Hardy’s film “The Pursuit of Endurance” was screened. Afterwards, Glaciologist Luc Moreau spoke to the audience about climate change and some of the world’s most vulnerable glaciers.
