Green Cross Japan celebrates 17th Environmental Diary Contest Award

On 12 December 2015, Green Cross Japan held the award ceremony for their 17th “Green Lane” Diary Contest in Tokyo. Winning students, their teachers and parents gathered from all over Japan. These included over 500 participants, as well as four guest students from Sri Lanka – winners of the diary contest in their country.

Nationwide, around 100,000 students participate in Green Cross Japan’s diary programme each year to learn how to protect environment. The children, aged six to 12, keep an environmentally-themed diary over 12 weeks.
