Conference and debate, four years after Fukushima, with Former Japanese PM Naoto Kan

Nearly four years after the nuclear incident at Fukushima, in Japan reconstruction continues. Naoto Kan, Prime Minister of Japan at the time, was profoundly affected by his experience leading the country during that difficult time.

On 24 February, for the first time, Kan will come to France to speak about that experience before an audience of public and private-sector décision-makers. He will be in Paris at the invitation of Green Cross – an organization deeply invested in supporting victims of nuclear catastrophe, as well as the development of diversified, de-centralized, democratized and low-carbon energy strategies. Kan will be introduced by Green Cross International COO Adam Koniuszewski. His address will be followed by a debate on nuclear security and the transition to a clean-energy future.

The event, called “4 ans après la catastrophe de Fukushima, quels retours d’expérience et quels impacts sur la stratégie énergétique” will run from 16:30 until 19:30 on 24 February, at the Théatre du Rond-Point. The final programme will be available on 16 February, and distributed to those who sign up to attend here (participation is free, but attendees must sign-up in advance).
