Chief Ethics and Legal Officer, Executive Vice President and Assistant Secretary at Acxiom

Jerry C. Jones serves as Acxiom’s chief ethics and legal officer and executive vice president. Acxiom is a global leader in the marketing services industry. Before joining Acxiom, Jerry was a trial attorney in the private practice of law for 19 years with the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, Arkansas, representing a broad range of business interests and led trial teams that obtained some of the largest judgments in state history.

Jerry is currently a member of the board of directors of Agilysys, Inc., where he chairs the Governance and Nominating Committee and serves on the Audit Committee. He was a member of the board of directors of Entrust, Inc. until it was purchased by private investors in 2009. During his time on the Entrust Board he was the chair of the Compensation Committee, served on the Audit Committee and was the chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. He also served on the board of the Arkansas Virtual Academy, a statewide online public school, from 2003 to 2012 and was chair from 2007 to 2012. Jerry was a board member of the Consumer Data Industry Association from 2007 to 2012.

Jerry is active in many civic organizations, including serving as a Special Advisor to the Club de Madrid, a Trustee of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a Member of the Dean’s Advisory Committee of the Sam M. Walton College of Business.  He was recently appointed by the Arkansas Governor to be the chair of FASTER Arkansas, a group of Arkansas leaders focused on solving issues involving broadband access for schools and rural areas of Arkansas.

He is a frequent speaker on economic, legal, privacy, technological, and public policy issues.

He holds a juris doctorate degree and a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Arkansas.
