Chairman of La Française AM (France)

Xavier LEPINE is CEO of La Française AM (ex UFG-LFP). He previously worked at the Bank of the European Union (1983-1989) and created and chaired FP Consult (an asset management firm dedicated to Emerging Countries) before taking the chairmanship of the Board of Fortis Investment Management France (1997) and then Multifonds (1999), of Alteram (2001) and Northern Europe Private Equity (2004).

In 2006, Xavier LEPINE was appointed CEO of UFG Group, which includes the activities of hedge funds, asset management, private equity, real estate and socially responsible management.

Following the merger of UFG with La Française des Placements in the summer of 2009, Xavier LEPINE became Chairman of UFG-LFP, then Groupe La Française, a US$50 billion asset management firm as of today, as the CEO.

Xavier LEPINE holds a Master of Monetary Economics and International Finance, University of Paris IX Dauphine (1981). He is also a member of the Scientific Committee of the EDHEC, Member of Board of l’IEIF an Independent research center f ostering exchange and thinking for real estate investment professionals a nd member of several think tanks such as Croissance Responsable (under the supervision of l’Institut de France), Fondation Palladio (for the development of the cities), ADN (Agence du Don en Nature).

Engaged with Green Cross since 2009, La Française supports several projects within corporate philanthropy and sponsorship and affirms its willingness to be a responsible actor in various fields
