After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Global Green USA made a dedicated commitment to sustainable building in New Orleans that began with the launch of the Sustainable Design Competition. Following the competition, work began on the building the Holy Cross green affordable housing community.  The Holy Cross Project consists of 5 single-family homes, an 18-unit apartment building, and a community center/sustainable design and climate action center.  Efforts in New Orleans have been continued with the Build It Back Green initiative to educate residents on how to rebuild in a healthy green way, and through the green schools initiative in the area. Through all of these efforts, Global Green is committed to creating a green model for the development and rebuilding of New Orleans. Related content:Photos of the project Project BlogRead more about the rebuilding of New Orleans
