In northern Iraq, Green Cross has started several educational projects, including the Mobile Playground, to help Kurdish communities cope with the ramifications of poison gas attacks that occurred in the late 1980s. The Mobile Playground is an initiative that uses a bus to move through Iraqi villages, packed with toys and educational resources, teaching children about the importance of hygiene and other essential areas of life. The Mobile Playground consists of a team of doctors, psychologists and educators who have helped around 3,000 children in over 39 villages.Related content:
