Across the world, Green Cross is helping boost skills of health workers and volunteers so they can provide better treatment for people affected by various kinds of environmental emergencies.

In local communities in many countries, access to training and education is hard to obtain, even for experienced paramedics, nurses and other medical staff. To fill this gap, Green Cross supports authorities and other training providers to boost the skills and awareness of healthcare workers, so they can in turn provide better care for their patients.

Increasing knowledge of the impacts of radiation, and measures to prevent exposure and eary detect diseases, such as through breast screening, is vital for the sustainability, development and, of course, health of people.
