Watch Earth Dialogues Panel 1: Confronting the Challenges of the 21st Century

Held on 3 September 2013 at the United Nations Office at Geneva, Panel 1 of the 7th Earth Dialogues focused on the failure by humanity to act, despite the scientific evidence, to contain the risks of ecological, environmental and climate disaster. The panel provided an account of the current state of affairs and describe the case for urgent transformative action. Speakers were Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker, PhD, Corinne Lepage, Dr. Hamadoun Touré,  Roberto D. Peccei, Bertrand Piccard, Madeleine Feyock, and moderator Darius Rochebin.
