 Robert (Bob) Bucklin was appointed Chairman of Global Green USA in 2013.

Mr. Bucklin was Vice Chairman of North America Wholesale banking for Rabobank International. He was responsible for the Wholesale Clients business (Corporate Banking, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Food & Agribusiness Research and Advisory) and Corporate Communications function in Rabobank’s U.S., Canada, and Mexico banking operations. He recently retired in July 2013.

Mr. Bucklin was a member of the Management Teams of Rabobank’s North America Wholesale and global Wholesale Clients International divisions. He sat on the Management Development Committee, and for 17 years was a member of the Audit Committee, for Rabobank’s North America Wholesale operations.

Mr. Bucklin joined Rabobank in 1993 as Senior Vice President and Manager of the Dallas office. In 1994, he moved to New York to take up the position of Chief Corporate Banking Officer, leading all food and agribusiness financing activities in the U.S., Canada, and later Mexico. In this role, Mr. Bucklin has been instrumental in the bank’s evolution from a single-product niche lender into a multi-product lead arranger for F&A multinationals, and has overseen a 10-fold increase in annual client revenues. He was named Vice Chairman in 2010.

Mr. Bucklin has more than 39 years of banking experience. Before joining Rabobank, he was President and Chief Operating Officer for First City-Dallas bank from 1991 to 1993. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Operating Officer for a Sino-U.S. joint venture between First City Texas Bank Group and the Bank of China.

He began his banking career with The First National Bank of Chicago. Over the course of 15 years, he started in the utilities division, then managed the energy project finance and petroleum divisions, and later was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer for the bank’s subsidiary in Canada.

Mr. Bucklin was recently elected Chairman of Global Green USA, an affiliate of Green Cross International. Global Green was founded by Mikhail Gorbachev to advocate for climate-friendly solutions and foster a global value shift toward a sustainable, secure future for the planet. Mr. Bucklin has been a Board Member of Global Green USA for 15 years, and also served as Treasurer from 1998 to 2013.

He is currently a member of the board of directors for OSI Group, LLC, a global supplier of meat products for many of the world’s leading foodservice and retail brands, as well as a member of the Advisory Board for Jacob Stern & Sons, a privately-held international agri-products company.

Mr. Bucklin holds a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He played varsity football at the University of Illinois and was twice named to the NCAA “Academic All-America” college football team, the first time in the University’s history that a student-athlete was named twice.
