Green Cross has partnered with WWF since 2006 to promote international legal instruments promoting cooperation between States over shared water resources. Green Cross and WWF have worked hand in hand in many countries where we attempted to raise awareness about instruments such as the UN Watercourses Convention.

Our networks of national organisations have been complementary. WWF has financially supported some of the awareness-raising campaigns led in countries where Green Cross is present (Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire) and is co-financing our efforts in the Senegal River riparian States.

WWF is an international non-governmental organization for the conservation, research and restoration of the natural environment. It is the world’s largest independent conservation organization with around 5 million supporters worldwide and working in more than 100 countries.
